His Licensed Physician Degree was undertaken at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolás de Hidalgo. He subsequently pursued a demanding residency in General Surgery at Hospital General (General Hospital), endorsed by Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC).
